1. NSS (National Service Scheme)

Our NSS unit encourages students to participate in community service and social activities. Students engage in activities like awareness programs, blood donation camps, and rural development projects. The aim is to build social responsibility and leadership skills among students.

Objectives :

• To understand the community in which they work.
• To understand themselves in relation to their community.
• To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving.
• To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
• To utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
• To develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.
• Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
• Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
• Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and Practice national integration and social harmony.

2. YRC (Youth Red Cross)

The Youth Red Cross focuses on health, safety, and humanitarian services. It organizes blood donation camps, first-aid training, and health awareness programs. Students learn the importance of helping others and responding to emergencies.

3. English Literary Association

The English Literary Association promotes a love for literature and enhances communication skills. It conducts debates, essay writing, speech competitions, and poetry recitations, helping students improve their English fluency and creativity.

Objectives :

• To develop skills required to facilitate the advancement and progress of English literature and the language as a whole.
• To bring about a generation of eloquent speakers with the confidence to speak in public
• To display the interesting aspects those are available through the sphere of literature

4. தமிழ் மன்றம் (Tamil Mandram)

தமிழ் மன்றம் தமிழின் சிறப்பையும் பண்பாடுகளையும் விளக்குவதற்கான ஒரு மேடை. மாணவர்கள் பாட்டுப் போட்டி, சொற்பொழிவு, கட்டுரை, கதையாடல், கவிதை வாசிப்பு போன்ற நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் கலந்துகொண்டு தமிழ் இலக்கியத்தினைப் பாதுகாக்க உறுதிபூண்டுள்ளனர். இந்த மன்றம் மாணவர்களுக்கு தமிழின் அழகு, வரலாறு, மற்றும் இலக்கிய முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்து புரிதலை உருவாக்குகிறது.

5. Siruthuli

"Helping hands are better than Praying Lips." by Mother Teresa is a proverb which elucidates helping a person in dire need rather than praying for him. If a man wants to worship god they can do better by serving by serving the poor and the needy. Siruthuli helps needy and poor people.

6. Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) helps students develop business skills and encourages them to become entrepreneurs. We conduct E-Day (Entrepreneurship Day), where students showcase and sell their innovative products, gaining real-world business experience.

Objectives :

• To develop spirit of Entrepreneurship among the students.
• To create environment for self-employment opportunities.
• To encourage students to become entrepreneurs through formal and non-formal programmes.

7. Feminine Club

The Feminine Club empowers female students by addressing women’s issues, career development, health awareness, and self-defense training. It conducts seminars and workshops to promote gender equality and confidence.

Objectives :

• To promote creativity, self-reliance and confidence among women students & faculty.
• To empower women in all aspects of life.

8. Fine Arts Club

The Fine Arts Club nurtures students’ talents in music, dance, drama, and visual arts. It organizes cultural events, painting exhibitions, and talent shows, encouraging creativity and artistic expression.

Objectives :

• To promote students to express their thoughts, feelings and creativity.

9. Go Green Club

The Go Green Club promotes environmental awareness and sustainability among students. The club actively organizes tree planting drives, clean-up campaigns, recycling projects, and awareness programs on climate change and conservation. Students participate in eco-friendly activities that encourage a greener and healthier environment. The club also conducts workshops on sustainable living and reducing plastic waste.

• To instill a sense of responsibility for the environment and a personal commitment to protect and preserve the environment.
• To educate and cultivate an appreciation and interest in the environment.
• Take an Environmentally Informative Field Trip To change all rocky mountains of Salem to Greenish mountains.

10. Rover Crew and Ranger Team

The Rover Crew (for boys) and Ranger Team (for girls) focus on leadership, adventure, and community service. Students participate in outdoor activities, skill-building workshops, and social service projects, developing a spirit of responsibility and teamwork.

11. Science Club

The Science Club encourages students to explore scientific experiments, innovations, and research. It organizes science fairs, quizzes, and workshops to develop critical thinking and a passion for science.
